Provide specialized legal advice and support, particularly in high-demand areas such as data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance. Identify issues and recommend best practices, leveraging industry knowledge and legal expertise to guide decision-making. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, implementing robust compliance programs and conducting regular audits. 5+ years relevant experience and a Juris doctorate degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years of relevant work experience and at least 3 as an attorney. This is a midlevel attorney role requiring a demonstrated proficiency and experience in all aspects of litigation management. Juris doctorate degree with an active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction. Litigation experience at a law firm or in house legal department handling commercial and consumer litigation especially state and/or federal claims applicable to the financial services industry. The qualified candidate must possess the ability to quickly assess the legal exposure and provide concise legal advice to internal stakeholders including being responsible for reporting to senior leadership. This is a fast-paced position that is suited to a self-starter who has the experience to quickly take ownership of a caseload of complex litigation matters. Ability to effectively influence, lead, collaborate with and encourage others at all levels with an inclusive and collaborative team culture. Good project manager who can bring various constituencies and stakeholders together to complete projects timely and efficiently. Experience vetting and hiring outside counsel and expert witnesses. Excellent research, writing and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset. Team player who is comfortable with a dynamic and changing environment that emphasizes collaboration. Skilled oral and written communicator. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to keep and maintain clear, accurate, and concise records. Prior experience in the financial services industry is preferred. Some travel is required, often out of state.
